About the Author
Ashley Suzanne has been writing as long as she can remember. As a youngster, she was always creating stories and talking to her imaginary friends. Thankfully, her parents also carried this love of fiction, and helped her grow into the writer she is today.
Ashley is a bestselling author and spends equal amounts of time writing and reading. Being the true book whore she is, Ashley would rather dive into a good book before going out of her house. Giving up her career in Real Estate, Ashley has officially moved to hermit status.
When Ashley isn’t coming up with her next story, you’ll most likely find her on the couch with a kindle in her hand (probably watching some crappy reality show while , annoying her husband by telling him all about her new book boyfriend or spending quality time with her two gremlins … Sorry, I mean adorable children.
Review
As I’ve stated in previous reviews, the beginning of the story is the “key” to keeping my interest. Right from the get-go, I’m sucked into this book. While reading the prologue I was angry, sad, and I even cried. That usually does not happen; I’m pretty stern when it comes to the water works. To be honest, this review is rather difficult for me because I want to just tell the world what happens and of course, I can’t be a butt-head and spill the beans. All I can say is HOLY FREAKING CANNOLI!! This book was AMAZING!! I enjoyed it so much. It is such an easy and fun read. It took me about a few hours to get through it.
The book portrays the lives of four best friends in college, who have to overcome an earth-shattering tragedy when one of them dies. Poor Mira has to move on from her life after her fiance Danny, dies in a motorcycle accident. I felt sorry for Mira. She is a pure and genuine soul and to read about her struggles just tore me apart. She begins to alienate herself from the world and leaving her other friends, Kylee and Skylar in the dark. But about 7 months after Danny’s death, Mira realizes she needs to move on because Danny would have wanted her to. However, Mira wasn’t expecting to move on with Skylar, Danny’s best friend. What could she do? How can she betray Danny’s love? What will people think?
The story is full of surprises! At first, I thought it was your typical romance novel. I will admit I thought I had it figured out; boy was I wrong! The book had its sexy and suspenseful moments and even a few jokes, here and there. There is definitely a few steamy sex scenes, but not too kinky, so its still enjoyable. The actual love story is so authentic and believable. I found myself rooting for them throughout the whole book. The ending was so shocking and unpredictable! I was actually in a state of panic and I could feel myself freaking out. I was like, “Oh my Gosh, what just happened?!!” and “How is this happening??”
Overall, this story was FAN-FREAKIN-TASTIC! I am so happy I had the pleasure to read it! I hope and pray that there is a sequel. I highly recommend this novel and I honestly believe it will be a best-seller. It has the potential to become a ground-breaking phenomenon.
To the author, Ashley Suzanne, I congratulate you on your debut novel and I hope everyone loves it as much as I did. I hope it reaches a great success throughout the world.
