My name is Dominic Powers. My software engineering company, DPS, is one of the top 500 companies in the world. Conducting a search for my Personal Assistant brought an unexpected candidate straight to me.

I knew she was different as soon as she walked into my high-rise office. She exuded innocence and inexperience. Those are two things in a woman that normally don’t attract me, but I am apparently making an exception for her. She’s young and delicate – and I’m afraid she won’t make it in my world.

But the carnal man I’ve kept hidden deep inside me says I have to try.

She is my Sophia Vasco.

I am Her Dom.

Wow, what a story. I finished the book about 2 weeks ago and it’s taken me this long to find the right words for this review. Her Dom is the first book I’ve read from A.D. Justice and I will def be reading her others books.

In the beginning we meet Dominic Powers, a highly successful rich businessman who is looking for a new secretary. He has a Dom/Sub past but is kind of laying low after something tragic happened with his last sub. Sophia is cute, sweet, shy, and becomes his new assistant. Of course, there’s an instant attraction and Dom wants her to be his Sub. At this point of the story, I felt it to be predictable and similar to other Sub/Dom books I’ve read. He’s rich, handsome, hot, sexy…typical rich alpha male. I also liked that the novel is from his POV as it’s a fresh way to get into his head and see what he’s thinking. The sex scenes were hot, which is a given but not too kinky which was nice because the story focused more on the plot, rather than the sex. And to me, that was very surprising. The suspense and action, for me, was the best part. Toward the end of the book, I could feel sweat dripping down my face because I knew…just knew there was going to be a cliffhanger. And then…it happened! Wahhhhh! Why must the author do this to me!! I hate cliffhangers but whatever, I got over it. Overall, this is a good story and I’m hoping to get more action, drama, and suspense in the next one.
