My name is Rev.
I like long walks on the beach.
A neat scotch.
And I like stealing from rich losers who have no idea the town’s Big Bad Wolf screwed their wives six ways to Sunday.
Such a scandal, indeed.
I have one end goal—to get out of this town.
I’m a loner. And that’s by choice.
People aren’t really my thing. That is…until I meet her. The little firecracker who sets more than my soul on fire.
No one has ever stuck around.
But Darcie is different. She seems to be as broken as me, and when our worlds collide, nothing but trouble looms.
Watch out, baby…down the rabbit hole we go.

Well…I literally have no words to describe my feelings after I finished this story. Let’s just say that it is the EXACT opposite of what I expected this book to be. I understand this is a dark romance and consists of sensitive topics such as sexual assault and violence, but I’ve read dark romance novels before, and I love them, so I figured this book would be in a similar category. I was soooo wrong! Literally..the prologue, yes…the prologue, I knew this book would be different. It’s hard to say much without spoiling it but I thought to myself, what were the authors thinking when writing this?! It’s absolutely insane!
The first half of the story is pretty tame and once the revenge plot is set, it’s literally on high adrenaline until the very end. The spicy moments between Rev and Darcie are ummmm…what’s the word, animalistic, almost barbaric, but I still loved them! These characters are completely broken but I loved their chemistry and they were made for each other. Darcie is one of the strongest females I’ve ever read and although she went a little crazy, I found myself rooting for her, even though her revenge plot was a little sadistic. I cannot wait to read the next book of the series.
